Recirculating cooling water systems are a common method of providing reliable process temperature control. Water from these cooling loops then emits heat to the atmosphere, often with a cooling tower. MYCELX provides complete filtration systems to address the needs of both open and closed systems.
Open recirculating systems can become contaminated with suspended solids, hydrocarbons and biologicals, leading to fouling and equipment failure. Closed loop systems can be tainted with seal oil, lubrication oil or heat transfer hydrocarbons.
The MYCELX Polisher is a patented and customized technology that removes emulsified oils and fine solids in cooling water applications. The multi-stage treatment system can be configured to address the contamination source, concentration and necessary effluent discharge in each loop. These systems can be designed to allow a single operator to provide treatment at multiple tie-in points or cooling loops as needed.
